Congratulations to Raven-Symoné!

The singer/actress is heading back to Broadway to take over the lead role in Sister Act, Deadline announced this morning. Yes, that is the musical based on the hit 1992 movie and Raven will be stepping into the role made famous by Whoopi Goldberg.

She will be playing Deloris Van Cartier, replacing Patina Miller, in the musical produced by Whoopi herself and featuring original music by the amazing Alan Menken (the man behind some of the best Disney music). It will mark her first time on the Broadway stage since making her debut at the age of 5.

Raven-Symoné will begin rehearsals at the end of February and take the stage at the Broadway Theatre at the end of March for a minimum six-month engagement.
