According to the blog TorrentFreak, Twilight was the fifth most-pirated movie of the year — not great news, because piracy is stealing, but a testament to the movie’s longevity; it didn’t even come out this year.
An illegal copy of New Moon didn’t hit the web until close to its release, so it didn’t have much time to make the list — though it presumably will pop up next year.
The #1 most-pirated movie of 2009 was Star Trek, followed by Transformers 2, The Hangover, and the little-seen RocknRolla.
