The Twilight Saga: New Moon made another $42.5 million over the weekend just in the U.S., raising its total to $230.7 million.
Early on Friday, it surpassed the $191 million that Twilight made in its entire theatrical run — only seven days after opening!
New Moon fell by a pretty heavy 70% from last weekend, but that’s to be expected since it opened with so much. If it behaves anything like the first movie, the grosses should level out and it should play well throughout the holiday season.
