After calling New Moon‘s success “humbling” last week, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse director David Slade is tweeting again about the progress he and his team are making:
The Eclipse post crew have been on Thanksgiving break, all back in Monday, some of us earlier, until then we drink coffee, plan & prepare.
Working Sunday, battle sequences coming together, first half of film feeling very emotional, still early days.
Sounds like things are coming along quickly — if the battle scenes are already coming together and it’s still “early days.” They’ve got to be thinking about cutting a teaser trailer together soon too, since the movie is only half a year away.

I’m so happy that Eclipse will be an emotional picture. That’s one thing I look for in a movie, that and action. I really want to see the tent scene and Edward and Jacob talking. That is, to me, one of the most intense part of the book…that and when Bella realizes that she’s in love with Jacob too. Please David Slade, give us some emotion between Edward, Bella, and Jacob. Please capture the love triangle!!!!!!

I hope that they put more of the book in this movie. I really love the emotional aspect of Edward and Bella’s relationship and the dilema she has to deal with because of her feeling for Jacob. I hope that comes across on the screen.

I am glad to read that Eclipse will be very emotional because the vampire battle only encompasses one chapter in the book, the rest is Bella’s and Edward’s relationship coming together and moving forward.
I hope that director David Slade shows us some of the love that is written in the book between Bella and Edward like Catherine Harwick did because Chris Weitz did a great job except he left out the love between Bella and Edward at the end of the movie. Please David give us Chapter 8 the new bed Chapter 20 Compromise, and the end when they are in the meadow. Thanks….
