Chris Weitz, who directed The Twilight Saga: New Moon, talked recently to the Hollywood Reporter about his experiences doing the movie. Near the end of the interview, they asked about Breaking Dawn:
THR: Is it true you have an offer to direct the fourth “Twilight” movie?
Weitz: No official offer has been made. The fans have been enthusiastic about the footage and the trailer, and the studio responds to that by feeling good about me. We’ll have to see how people feel about the entire movie, not only the studio but the fans, before the verdict is out whether I direct Number 4. David Slade is doing a great job on the third film, and by the time that comes out, he’ll be the flavor of the moment.
From everything we’ve been hearing, the cast got along fine with both Weitz and Slade, so it would be hard to choose between the two — which is why I think they’ll go with somebody totally new. But I could be wrong, because it would be a huge risk to trust somebody new with the final installment of such a big series.
And if they split Breaking Dawn into two parts, will the same director film both parts? So many questions!

I think that for Breaking Dawn, Since they r gonna split it, it should have the same director. CAuse each director has their own style, and it would be rlly weird if they were directed by differnt ppl
