The Vampire’s Assistant, which features teen star Josh Hutcherson and is based on the very popular Cirque du Freak novels, isn’t doing very well this weekend at the box office — it’s set to make only around $7 million by the end of Sunday. (By contrast, Twilight made $70 million in its opening weekend.)
So despite the popularity of Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, and True Blood on HBO, I guess not just anything about vampires is guaranteed to be successful. The interesting thing is that Paul Weitz directed The Vampire’s Assistant, and his own brother, Chris Weitz, is directing New Moon.
Any fans of Cirque du Freak out there? Have you caught the movie yet?

I love the books and im gonna see the movie but it hasn’t reached norway yet
But im diffidently going 2 see it

I went to see the movie last week. I thought it was awesome! So did my friends, of course some effects could have been better but all first movies don’t have perfect effects. I mean, in Twilight the vampires “sparkle” looked like sweat.

The movie was AMAZING! and seriously? People GO SEE IT! it is so worth it! it is a guy AND girl movie! plus, seriously, both josh and chris–the two main characters– are so cute! I haven’t read the books yet, but i’m going to… the Vampires Assistant is more action, and comedy. SO GO WATCH! and trust me you’ll LOVE it!
