Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries, played by hottie Ian Somerhalder, beat Edward Cullen — and by extension Robert Pattinson — in Entertainment Weekly‘s summer “Sexy Beast” tournament, which pitted the hottest non-humans in pop culture against each other.
The final tally: 138,630 votes to 134,728 votes — despite Ian tweeting last week “That Pattinson guy will end up kicking my butt, however thanks for taking the time, that’s really cool:)”.

I hate how certain people took this poll as Rob vs.Ian. It was supposed to be Edward vs. Damon. It literally “sucks” that edward didn’t win, but damon is more of a beast and edward is too beautiful to be named that.
The good news for all team Edward girls is that he beat jacob. (Which made me VERY happy 
!!!)

is the same if you put them as ian vs rob or damon vs ed… damon is sexyer, bad boys are always sexyer… while good respectfull guys are more lovely. so I think is right for damon to beat him.

Haha, Robert should have won, but the different camps got behind Ian as he has the best chance of beating Robert in this poll. i think people just feel this need to trump all the twihards.
