Numbers are in for Thursday, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse made an estimated $24.2 million, dropping expectedly from its massive $68.5 million opening day.
New Moon made $42 million on its second day of release, but that was a Saturday, so it’s not comparable. New Moon‘s weekend gross was $142.8 million, whereas Eclipse will likely make north of $160 million by Monday.
Bottom line: it’s making an absurd amount of money.
