It looks like we finally have our first nugget of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire casting news!
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Philip Seymour Hoffman has received an official offer to play Plutarch Heavensbee in Lionsgate’s sequel to The Hunger Games.
Heavensbee is the new head gamemaker for the annual Hunger Games, taking over from Seneca Crane, played by Wes Bentley.

i dont think this is the best choice for plutarch…I imagined him tall, muscular, and slightly formal. In other words i think that the casting director should hold auditions with suzanne collins so they can collaborate on who should play the role.(s)

Yay! I always imagined Plutarch looking very very different, but the way he looked was never really described in detail. I’m excited though: I don’t know this actor, but I think he’ll be great as Plutarch (: Can’t wait!
