And they’re not just part of the trailer, either–seems the upcoming production of Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant is still rolling along, with fresh stills emerging that may not give us a whole lot of new information about the movie itself, but the fact that they’re even there is information enough to know it’s still proceeding.
Good thing, too…for a movie that’s setting itself up to be a Twilight-killer, it needs all the help it can get. Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant revolves around John C. Reilly as a vampire (which already sets them at a disadvantage–there’s no way the guy from Step Brothers is going to have anywhere near the pull of Robert Pattinson) who makes a potential replacement for himself out of a boy at one of the Cirque’s stops. From there, he’ll teach the boy how to use his new powers, and he’ll be needing every one of them to fend off enemies from every quarter. Including several he never saw coming.
Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant is slated to release October 23, so they’d better be ready for some FIERCE competition.
