When retail giant Sears, whose bottom line has been looking a little worse for wear lately, needs a little help with their advertising, they turned to Disney for a little extra boost.

Disney, in turn, set up an entire campaign around Selena Gomez, who’ll be helping Sears sell a huge array of back to school clothes.

The key to the whole thing is the forty five second “Rock the Red Carpet” ad where viewers will get the chance to find out how to win a huge prize package, which includes an evening with Selena Gomez at a movie premiere.  Which movie, of course, hasn’t been announced yet, but chances are good it’ll be a Disney movie.

So with Selena Gomez acting as the new face of Sears, will this help the retailer pick up its sales figures and keep it out of bankruptcy?  Only time will tell, but if it does work, Selena Gomez might well have pulled off some magic that they couldn’t even do on Waverly Place.
