Even though Robert Pattinson couldn’t be there, the Oscars managed to nab Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner as presenters last night, and they both looked terrific in a black strapless gown and a tux, respectively.  They were there to introduce a tribute to horror movies:

Two of Hollywood’s most beautiful young brunettes are jetting from TV land to the glitz and glamour of Monte Carlo.

We’ve just learned that Disney darling Selena Gomez is set to star in an upcoming movie project called Monte Carlo. Gossip Girl’s resident bad girl, Leighton Meester, is also linked to the project, but nothing is final as of yet, while the lovely Nicole Kidman will reportedly take on a supporting role, as well as produce the movie! Julia Roberts is another famous name rumored to be attached to this developing project.

Monte Carlo is based on “Headhunters,” a book written by Jules Bass, about a group of American women who say goodbye to a boring no-frills holiday in Paris, and instead head to Monaco, where they pose as wealthy women in Monte Carlo.

Taylor Swift grabs another 5 award nominations.

Quite impressive indeed. Swift picked up 5 nominations for the upcoming 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards show, one including the Entertainer of the Year. The other spots are for Top Female Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year for ‘You Belong With Me’ as well as 2 nominations in the Song of the Year category for ‘You Belong With Me.’ Interestingly, there are some other artists with even more nods for the country music awards, including Lady Antebellum who received the most at 7, followed by Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood both with 6, Kenny Chesney got 4 noms along with the Zac Brown Band and Brad Paisley.

Vampire Diaries beauty Nina Dobrev covers next month’s Seventeen magazine.

Inside the mag’s pages, she opens up about her super hot co-stars on Vampire Diaries. Nina says both Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, who play Damon and Stephan on the show, are great guys. Paul, she says “takes his job very seriously”, but Ian is “the prankster, the jokester.”

N-D admits that dating a co-star or any actor for that matter “is very complicated,” adding that “there’s a lot of vanity involved…and they’re kind of crazy.” In the end, Nina says she’d actually prefer to “not date an actor.”

Looking forward to another album from Selena and the Scene?

While the singer and her band basically just put out their debut album Kiss and Tell – technically, in 2009 though – they’re already getting things rolling on album number-2. Interestingly, Selena has said that the follow-up tracks will have a different sound, using words like “older”, “funkier”, “edgier” even saying the songs will have a bit of a reggae feel. Basically, Gomez said that she and the Scene were working on some stuff to make a deluxe edition of Kiss and Tell and then decided to make an entire new album altogether.

The Disney star said she’s wanting to get some collaborations in the mix, including the producers from Naturally and maybe even Dr. Luke who has put together hit songs like Katy Perry’s I Kissed a Girl and Ke$ha’s Tik Tok.

The annual Academy Award ceremony is tonight, and as we speak stars are being fit into designer suits and dresses that are either really pretty or really strange.

Guest presenters this year include a decidedly young array of stars, including Zac Efron, Miley Cyrus, and all three Twilight stars: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner.

Speaking of Twilight, co-star Anna Kendrick is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in Up in the Air.  Does she have a chance to beat Mo’Nique, the favorite for her role in Precious?  And will Sandra Bullock from The Blind Side win Best Actress over Meryl Streep from Julie & Julia?

It’s on ABC tonight at 8:30/5:30 Pacific, and is preceded by an 8:00/5:00 red carpet show.  Let us know what you think of the show in the comments…

Alice in Wonderland, starring Johnny Depp and 20-year-old Mia Wasikowska, opened this weekend and did amazing at the box office: an estimated $116 million.

That’s the biggest March opening ever, and the biggest opening ever for a 3D movie.

Further down the top 10 list, Percy Jackson made another $5 million and Valentine’s Day jumped past a total gross of $100 million.

Oscar parties bring out the best and the brightest in Hollywood, but only one famous shindig will include the likes of Joe Jonas and funny lady Betty White.

It’s Elton John’s annual Oscar after party! Yes, it’s true, according to various reports, Joe, Betty and the rest of the gang will be just a few of people on hand at this year’s hottest party. How amesome would it be to get a look at the dance floor at this party? Cory Monteith bustin’ a move with Betty White? That would be priceless. But, gaining entrance to this particular event is nearly impossible even for the uber famous. Not only because it’s a who’s who of Hollywood, but also because of the fact that it’s all about an incredible cause.
