Taylor Swift Band Hero Game Commercial

Taylor Swift just shot a Band Hero commercial alongside fellow rockers, Pete Wentz, Travis Barker and Rivers Cuomo. The cool part is that this advertisement paid tribute to previous spots for the Guitar Hero video game. In fact, the star players reenact the famous scene from Risky Business where Tom Cruises character rocks out in nothing but a button-down shirt, boxers and tube socks.

In fact, Taylor spoke out about the commercial and the intensely choreographed storyline. Apparently, Swift, Wentz, Barker and Cuomo – ALL game players – slide out into a living room – that’s another Risky Business inspiration – and the room suddenly morphs into a big arena. The singer says that they all start rocking out to her ‘Love Story’ song.

Victoria Justice Signs With Music Manager Larry Rudolph

Victoria Justice, one of Clevver’s favorite new stars to watch, has signed with manager Larry Rudolph under his ReignDeer Entertainment shingle for music representation. Justice is the star of Nickelodeon’s newest comedy series, “Victorious.” “Victorious” is created by Dan Schneider, he is the guy who brought us shows like “Zoey 101,” “iCarly,” “Drake & Josh,” “The Amanda Show,” “What I Like About You,” “Kenan & Kel”, and “All That.”

“Victorious” follows Tori Vega (Justice) a teen who unexpectedly finds herself navigating life at an elite performing arts high school. Justice will not only get to showcase her comedy and acting skills, but she will be able to show off her vocal abilities, as the series will feature original music performed by Justice and the ensemble cast.

Larry Rudolph is known throughout the music industry and the world as the man, who helped shape and mold the career of one of the world’s biggest Iconic figures of this century, Britney Spears. In over a decade, Rudolph has yet to place his stamp of approval on another solo teen act until now. Rudolph and his Vice President, Adam Leber, have found in Justice all the star qualities that he recognized in Britney so many years ago.

Before arriving in Los Angles five years ago from Hollywood, Florida at age 11, Justice was one of top child/tween models in the business and landed coveted print campaigns for such brands as Guess, Ralph Lauren and Gap to name a few. She wasn’t in LA a mere ten months when she met with the executives at Nickelodeon’s then hit series “Zoey 101” and was instantly cast in a series regular role of Zoey’s roommate “Lola Martinez.”

When Zoey ended in 2007, Dan Schneider and the execs at Nickelodeon knew they had something special in Justice and immediately signed her to a deal. While waiting for “Victorious” to start production, Nick kept Justice busy with a bevy of guest-starring stints on their top rated shows such as, “True Jackson VP,” “The Troop,” “The Naked Brothers Band” and “iCarly. Justice’s “iCarly” episode, iFight Shelby Marks was a ratings bonanza for the already top rated show. In addition, Justice also co-starred in Nickelodeon’s made for TV original movie, “Spectacular!” in early 2009.

Just a few weeks ago Justin appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show where he sang and danced, and he must’ve made quite the impact because on his big album drop day, he stopped by the show once again.

This time though, he wasn’t alone. He was joined by Usher, who signed Justin to his record label after some of his family members told him to watch the young singer on YouTube.

Ellen is known for making her guests dance and this dual appearance was no difference.

So what’ d you think of Justin’s performance?  How about the album?  Lots to talk about, so hit the comments section and have it out!

Victoria Justice might be a super star, but on the cover of next month’s “Girl’s Life” magazine, she’s proving that she’s down-to-earth and normal. We’ve got the scoop on the “Victorious” star up next.

Everyone is loving the new cover of Girl’s Life magazine. Victoria, who is always fashionable, looks great in her winter look on the front page, completed with a white beret.

Inside the mag, the 16 year old admits to always crushing on nerdy guys who wear glasses and play video games. And even though she says there’s someone special in her life right now—who by the way is actor Josh Hutcherson who just starred in “The Vampires Assisant,”—despite that fact, she still does have a big crush on funny-man actor Michael Cera.

Looking forward to Victorious?  Digging on Victoria Justice in general?  Hit the comments section and tell us all about it!

Robert Pattinson says Edward is More Famous Than He Is

I guess even some people at the venerable Time magazine are Twihards, because they interviewed Robert Pattinson along with everybody else.  In speaking about getting cast in the first film, they ask a question that I’ve often wondered: would the series have gotten so huge if any of the cast, Pattinson especially, were different?

Casting Edward was crucial to the franchise. What did Catherine Hardwicke see in you?
I don’t know. I was a little intimidated by Kristen [Stewart] in my audition. So I played it like a guy who is beating himself up a lot about everything. I don’t think anyone else did it like that. I think they concentrated on the confidence aspect. If you read the book, you know he’s the perfect man, ideal man. If you’re a guy, you have certain ideals about what you think is attractive. And that’s why I didn’t go into it for ages, because I thought I’d end up being silly in the audition. I’d be posing. I guess I tried to ignore every aspect of the confident hero of the story. And I played the extreme opposite. It didn’t end up being that in the film.

If they had cast anyone else as Edward, would the franchise have been as successful as it is today?
I honestly don’t know. No matter how famous I get as an individual, it’s always evened — or even surpassed — by the fame of Edward Cullen. That’s got to mean something. I don’t mind that. That’s just the way it is.

Anna Kendrick in Vogue

The Twilight Saga: New Moon‘s own Jessica Stanley, Anna Kendrick, posed for some pretty nice glamor shots in the latest issue of Vogue.  Check them out:

If I was the makeup artist, I personally would’ve gone with a little less eyeshadow and made her look a little less pale, but the dress is awesome.

New Moon Has a $140 Million Weekend!

Blasting past expectations, The Twilight Saga: New Moon made an estimated $140 million in its first three days of release.

Just last week we mentioned that while insiders predicted the movie might make $85-100 million, we figured it would do more than that.  But $140 million?  That’s phenomenal.

New Moon made $72.7 million on Friday, $43.2 million on Saturday, and is expected to make $24.8 million by the end of today.

If those numbers hold, that makes it the third best opening weekend of all time, behind only The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 3.

Justin Bieber Event Turns Ugly

On Friday, Justin Bieber was supposed to have an autograph signing session at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, NY.  Sounds simple enough, right?  If only.

Turns out, so many fans showed up that the security couldn’t handle the crowd, the fire department deemed the event a fire hazard and canceled it, Justin was told he couldn’t appear without getting arrested, and some fans even got hurt from all the commotion!

From PopStar Online:

When I got to the mall, there was a huge crowd near a security entrance on the outside of the mall! I went inside and made my way upstairs to Justice…or so I thought!

There were thousands of girls, blocking off all the ways to get to the Justice store! The food court was completely full, and girls were packed so tight it looked like a concert!

I heard a security guard say, “The event is cancelled. He’s not coming.” I thought, “WHAT?” I contacted his publicist and she said, “We’re on our way!” I was so confused!

Meanwhile a fan wrote into OceanUp with her version:

The rules said that people could not line up until 2 PM however people began forming their own lines on much earlier. Things got so out of control, that security just could not handle it any more.

People were pushing and shoving that a handful of people left with broken bones, some people even arrested, including a worker of Justin, for not being prepared with enough security. I was also informed that Justin was threatened to be arrested if he stepped foot on the property. However, people did not understand that Justin was not there and continued to to chant his name outside of the store.

Justin later apologies to his fans on Twitter — poor guy, it’s not his fault — and said he and his team were trying to come up with a way to make it up to fans.
