Based on best-selling novelist Nicholas Sparks’ (”A Walk to Remember,” “The Notebook”) latest novel, THE LAST SONG is set in a small Southern beach town where an estranged father (GREG KINNEAR) tries to reconnect with his reluctant teenaged daughter (MILEY CYRUS), who’d rather be home in New York.

The Last Song Cast: Miley Cyrus, Bobby Coleman, Liam Hemsworth, Hallock Beals, Nick Lashaway, Carly Chaikin, Nick Searcy, Kate Vernon, Kelly Preston, Greg Kinnear. The Last Song is directed by Julie Anne Robinson.

In the romantic drama “Remember Me”, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family. Tyler didn’t think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through until the day he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate.
Remember Me also stars Chris Cooper, Lena Olin and Pierce Brosnan, and is directed by Allen Coulter.

MTV just came out with a great interview with Tish Monaghan, who worked as the costume designer on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.  Tish confirms that you can see Bella wearing an engagement ring at points in the trailer, and offers some other interesting tidbits:

“Rob only wore the suit in the last film because of a continuity theme,” the costume designer explained. “He wore it for Bella’s party, and then he never changed. In ‘Eclipse,’ he is back at school, and dressing generally, more casual and more relaxed.” …

Back when we interviewed Tish about the threads from “New Moon,” she said there was a distinct reason Taylor Lauther always looked to be almost busting out of his shirts with his biceps — “We tailored his t-shirts so they showed off his muscles,” she said at the time.

So now that Jacob “understands his body,” his tops (above he’s in a GAP shirt and Levi jeans) must be a size up right? Nope! Because “only two weeks has passed in time between ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse’.”

Seven months after it came and went in theaters, Bandslam is finally out on DVD today.

The movie stars Vanessa Hudgens, Aly Michalka, and Gaelan Connell and is about a new kid in high school who assembles a band to compete in a battle of the bands competition.

It didn’t do well in theaters at all, but got great reviews all over the place — so if you didn’t catch it, here’s your chance.

Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Summit Entertainment has “reached out” to three different high profile directors, with the intent on seeing if they’d be interested in directing The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Breaking Dawn will likely be two movies, but the idea is for them to shoot back-to-back with the same director.

So who are the possibilities?

Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola, and Bill Condon.

Van Sant directed Good Will Hunting, Milk, and a bunch of movies about teens, including Finding Forrester, Paranoid Park, and Elephant.  He’s a particularly interesting choice because Robert Pattinson publicly suggested him a few months ago.

Coppola, meanwhile, directed Lost in Translation and The Virgin Suicides, while Condon did Dreamgirls and Gods and Monsters.

It’s possible that none of them will be interested, but it shows that Summit is going for well-established, talented directors.  Very excited by the possibilities!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon (and in some cases the whole Twilight series) is up for five different Kids’ Choice Awards, Nickelodeon’s annual awards show which will be held on March 27th at 8 p.m. with host Kevin James.  The categories are:

• Best Couple – Edward and Bella
• Best Couple – Jacob and Bella
• Best Movie
• Best Movie Actor – Taylor Lautner
• Best Book

In a new interview (which you can watch below), The Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth talks about working with, and dating, Miley Cyrus.

On auditioning: “We just had really good chemistry on screen, so it worked out … she’s amazing.  She can sing, dance, and act.  It’s incredible.”

After the reporter confirms that the two are dating: “Yeah. I get nervous talking about my private life, but it’s hard to deny.  So many photos (laughs).”

He comes across as a really good guy!

Pictures have been leaking out for at least a couple weeks of Robert Pattinson in costume on the set of his period drama Bel Ami, but here’s a good-quality, close-up shot.  Aside from the scowl, he looks good…not too far off what I would imagine Edward Cullen to look like in the early 1900s.

Skateland, a new independent film that debuted at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, just debuted its first poster.  It stars The Twilight Saga’s Ashley Greene and unknown actor Shiloh Fernandez.  Check it out:

We’re all set for the season 2 premiere of Sonny with a Chance. In celebration of the March 14th debut, Disney released a sneak peek. It showcases Demi Lovato, Tiffany Thornton and Allisyn Arm as The Real Princesses of New Jersey.

Of course, these gals are rocking the big hair, fake nails and accents of sorts in the skit that parodies the popular reality shows, Jersey Shore and The Real Housewives. Check out the new vid.
