Wizards of Waverly Place won the award for best kids’ show at the Creative Arts Emmys yesterday, beating competitors like Hannah Montana and iCarly.

The Creative Arts Emmys are basically extra Emmys that they don’t hand out at the actual awards show (which will be held September 20th).  Along with Wizards, Justin Timberlake won an award for hosting Saturday Night Live.

It keeps getting better and better, we finally see the wolfpack and volturi in action! The brand new Twilight New Moon movie trailer #3 is courtesy of Summit Entertainment. The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be in theaters November 20, 2009. This trailer originally aired at the MTV Video Music Awards VMA’s.

As usual the New Moon Trailer #3 is making its rounds on Youtube before the scheduled MTV VMA premiere. Only true Twi-Hards would spend 2 minutes watching a super grainy cam video with out of sync audio. I guess something is better than nothing. But Back to the trailer, the last 20-30 secs are pretty awesome, you see the wolfpack and volturi in action. Was that Felix or Demetri body slamming poor Edward? Hurry Click Play, cause the video will most likely get taken down!

This next piece requires a whole lot of logic work and some extremely tenuous speculation, but if you follow the line of logic to its end it’s nothing short of disaster for TwiFans everywhere.

So by now we all know that OK! Magazine was claiming there’s a RobSten engagement on, and most of us just laughed this off as more gossip mag fluff, right?

Well, if it is, they’re going on with it–one of their newest RobSten oriented covers declares that Rob is apparently bound to engage Kristen Stewart, and will do so at any cost, up to and including the complete destruction of the Twilight Saga.

The ramifications of such a thing are mind-boggling in scope. Literal millions of dollars will be lost.  Could Rob even get hired after such an event?  And if not, would it matter?  He made his money from Twilight, and New Moon will be a similar bank-maker.  There are numerous “insider quotes” that seem to support Rob’s plan, but the veracity of these cannot be proven.

All told, though, I’m inclined to believe this is more OK! nonsense.  No one would risk THIS, not even over an engagement.  Even if they WERE planning such a thing, they’d delay until after the movies were done.  Anything else is irrational beyond any standard of sanity.

Though Miley’s been on record for quite some time now as saying she’s not going to be playing Hannah Montana forever, you’d think she might have wanted to wait.

Sources have been on record for less than a whole day now as saying that Miley’s been offered a role on the Sex and the City 2 movie cast, but she has yet to accept.

Now, on the one hand, this definitely falls in line with her “more adult” posture that she’d been out to build up.

But on the other, this does nearly irrevocable damage to her “teen star” persona.  After all, what parents are going to let the kids watch something like Hannah Montana when its lead is in the Sex and the City movie?

Not that this worries Miley, of course–her net worth was over a billion dollars at last report, so she can do as she pleases at this point.  Even kill her career.

After the backlash stemming from Miley Cyrus’s pole dance at the Teen Choice Awards, she (or most likely, Disney) has decided not to feature the pole in her upcoming tour.  Um, you think?

According to E!, the pole will be replaced by “a rolling baggage cart described as ‘the kind a hotel bellhop uses.’”

With Twilight still all the rage for teens and HBO’s True Blood occupying adults, most people thought there wasn’t room for another vampire saga.  But they were wrong.  The Vampire Diaries, which premiered on the CW last night, turned out to be a huge hit!

The first episode had 4.9 million viewers.  That beats what 90210 did last year, and it’s about twice what Gossip Girl usually gets.

The show stars Paul Wesley, from Everwood; Ian Somerhalder, from Lost; and Nina Dobrev, from the hit Canadian teen show Degrassi: The Next Generation.
