Los Angeles Dodgers players Jerry Sands, Javy Guerra and Matt Guerrier helped some kids get ready for back-to-school recently.
The players took children from the Boys & Girls Club of Harbor Gateway to the Staples in Gardena on a back-to-school shopping spree. Thirty youngsters received a backpack filled with essential school tools, as well as a $100 Staples gift card, courtesy of Staples and the Dodgers Dream Foundation.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the Dodgers have partnered with Staples on a back-to-school shopping event.
