Last we heard, the role of Mary-Jane Watson in the upcoming rebooted Spider-Man movie was Emma Stone’s for the taking. Today, she officially signed onto the movie — but in a different role.
Emma, who’s currently in theaters in Easy A, will play Gwen Stacy, the blond played by Bryce Dallas Howard in Spider-Man 3. Ironically, both Bryce and Emma are known for being redheads, so you’d think they’d be better as Mary-Jane…but in the press release, director Marc Webb reveals Emma is actually a natural blond. Who knew?
