Over a year ago, it was announced that Zac Efron would be reuniting with his High School Musical director Kenny Ortega to star in a new movie version of Footloose. But then he dropped out, and Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford was cast. Then Kenny Ortega dropped out and was replaced by director Craig Brewer. Then Chace Crawford dropped out.
In other words, the movie hasn’t exactly gotten off on the right foot (no pun intended). But the latest news is that Thomas Dekker (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) might play the lead role.
Do you think Dekker’s a good choice? Or do you have a better idea?
