Rebecca Black is so popular that even the Jonas Brothers know who she is! The Bros performed the Concert for Hope at the Gibson Amphitheater over the weekend in Los Angeles, and the crowd went wild when they broke into an acoustic rendition of R.B.’s “Friday.”
ClevverTV’s Joslyn Davis was on the red carpet for the event, and got to talk to the one and only Selena Gomez, who dished about her upcoming movie Monte Carlo–and she told us all about the crazy accent she had to master for the movie! She sucks. Gosh her voice is annoying and she does not sing the National Anthem good or her other verison of friday they both suck but they sound better then Friday. But the death threats and all that is way to much! Everyone has their opinion but you don’t have to want to KILL her! geez.

You are right! I mean I do like that song but Im not obsessed with it and ppl all have their rights to an opinion but don’t need to think or talk about killing her thats plain MEAN and can get them in serious trouble…I understand that alot of ppl dont like her singing but she’s a brave person because she said live that she doesn’t even care what they say anymore so she’s got alot of like mental skill..CMON PPL GIVE HER A CHANCE AND IF U DONT LIKE HER SINGING STOP LISTENING TTO HER MUSIC AND/OR WATCHING NEWS BROADCASTS ABOUT HER…but seriously keep your death threats to yourself and stop listening to her song if you hate her that bad!!!

@Noxie Actually its not autotuned they didn’t have to change her voice that much she sang a line of the national anthem on tv and it sounded almost exactly like the voice in her video and they of course autotuned it a little but they added mostly just music in the backround so sorry Noxie your wrong! And will u shut up if you don’t like her don’t listen to her..I like her song but Im not obsessed over it like some ppl and keep ur death threats to yourself you can get in trouble for that! So keep every bad thing to yourself and don’t listen to her if you dont like her!!!

I can’t stand the Jonas Brothers but they did it better than Rebecca (well DUH!). But really:
It’s so strange how people say it’s NOT bad… The song is way too heavily auto-tuned, so far that it even messes her already messed up voice even further. The song has NO interesting or redeeming factor. and giving credit to Bieber… Friday has the same song structure as Baby… Not only is Friday Bad, Too overtuned, But also stolen in a rubbish way. It’s not like stolen in the four chord way but literally the same structure where every verse and every chorus is the same. I understand her mother would be upset but really… If you stick out your head it could be chopped off and it happened. Nice attempt but no thank you. Live with it.

You’re ignorant.. not everyone can sing the National Anthem. Actually, the National Anthem is extraordinarly difficult, and she did great with it! All of you guys go around saying that Rebecca Black sings horribly and how she should’ve never done the video in the first place. Let me tell you one thing: She might not be the best but she’s not that bad. I mean, come on! She’s just a kid who did something out of fun (and because her parents paid for it). Listen to her sing a couple of lines from the national anthem, and I hope you change your mind. BTW, I don’t like the song either, it’s really stupid.

To be honest, I dont actually like the song “Friday”, nor do I like Rebecca’s voice while singing this song, but she has talent, if you listen to her sing the national anthem, she is actually pretty good. I think the tweaking the music producers did to her voice for “Friday” made her sound bad, but she actually has talent, maybe not the most, but she isnt a terrible singer. I hope that the rest of you will think the same thing.

I think that she really isn’t that bad. I mean when I first listened to “Friday” I thought she sounded horrible but after hearing her ACTUALLY sing, she’s pretty good. I just think that she needs to change up what she writes her songs about and if she’s going to record more songs, then she needs to do it with her REAL voice rather than let someone tweak it like they did on “Friday”.

The song is written by a child directed toward children, of course it won’t be that great. As for her voice, I think alot has to do with the effects they’ve added to it. I think with a proper singing coach and better producers, and a decent song writer, she could go far.

Unfortunately, the same can be said of a TON of people in the world my friend, with people to help that know what they are doing, most musicians could go far. But most musicians don’t have the money for that, where as I heard a rumor her parents do… hence the quality of the video she put out I’m guessing?
I dunno, but I refuse to pay attention to another person that gets lucky to get famous, I’m more for people that work their way to the top, like bands: Switchfoot, Relient K, Underoath, and a few more. :] Not hating on her, just not a fan of how she got famous. And I’m not gonna say she doesn’t have talent, Everyone has some talent, but we may never know how much talent she has if she continues the way she started.
