Emma Fuhrmann may only be 10 years old, but she’s already worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Morgan Freeman!

Emma can be seen alongside Freeman in The Magic of Belle Isle and we got all the details on the movie straight from Emma!

Can you tell us a little bit about ‘The Magic of Belle Isle’ and your character? The movie takes place during the summer when my mom and my sisters move to Belle Isle after my parents separation. Morgan’s character rents the house next door to us. I am immediately drawn to him after I find out he is a famous western writer. I want him to help me teach me how to write and tell stories like he does. We all learn something that summer together and our lives are forever changed. It’s a really great film to take the whole family to see!

You worked with two greats in the movie industry – Morgan Freeman & Rob Reiner. What was it like working with them? Working with Morgan Freeman and Rob Reiner was a dream come true for me. Working with a director like Rob Reiner for my first big feature film was just incredible. He truly believed in me and knew I could make Finnegan come alive and it showed everyday on set. Morgan was so easy to work with- he made my job really easy because he was so calm and I learned a lot from watching and working with him.

Did they give you any advice? Morgan suggested a way for me to say a line one time and so I asked Rob about it and he liked it and we went with it. Morgan was also was very good about running lines with me in rehearsals.

What was your favorite part about working on this film?
My favorite part would have to be the people, the cast and crew, I worked with every day and my second favorite would be working on the lake everyday and having such an amazing place to go to everyday. It was a lot like summer camp on the lake! I really enjoyed spending time with my sisters in the movie, Madeline and Nicolette and of course, my film mom, Virginia.

What do you think viewers will enjoy the most? The film has a lot of funny moments where you laugh out loud and it also has a lot of heart warming moments so I think people will like seeing this film with their family. It’s the perfect summer film for families.

Do you have any other upcoming projects? I have a couple of short films that are making the film festival rounds and I’m working on a few projects I can’t talk about just yet. Hopefully soon though!

When you aren’t working, what are some of your hobbies?
I love designing clothes. I mainly like to sketch dresses complete with all the accessories, shoes and jewelry. I also like to swim and am ready to start my summer swim team next week. I always have a book I’m reading, too.

Who would be your dream co-star? There’s so many- I don’t even know where to start. I like to dream big so I would say Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts or Claire Danes would be amazing women to work with. It’s such a blessing and an honor to just be doing what I love.

The Magic of Belle Isle is out July 6, 2012.
