Exclusive: Ian Somerhalder & ISF Visit Compton High School

April 20, 2012

Ian Somerhalder loves acting but another passion of his is philanthropy.

Ian started his own foundation, Ian Somerhalder Foundation, which aims to empower, educate and collaborate with people and projects to positively impact the planet and its creatures.

Today, Ian & ISF visited Compton high School and their Recycling Club where he gave them a grant to build a greenhouse to grow a garden. He chatted with the students, asked them questions, and answered their questions.

All of this is in celebration of Earth Day this weekend and tomorrow Ian is hosting a big “Let’s Get Dirty” event in Santa Monica to help clean up our beaches! For more information on the Let’s Get Dirty event, go here.
