It looks like McKinley High has recruited some more fresh faces this year.
Last week it was announced that heartthrobs Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist would be joining the cast as regulars for the show’s upcoming season — but now it has been confirmed that the lovely Melissa Benoist and Becca Tobin will be the newest female additions to McKinley High.
While not much has been revealed about the new Gleeks’ roles in the highly anticipated new season, Ryan Murphy did take to Twitter to tease fans and hint about “Jarley” — a potential new relationship between Melissa’s character Marley and Jacob Artist’s character Jake, who also happens to be Puck’s younger half-brother. Both Melissa and Becca are relatively new to Hollywood but Melissa can be recognized for her guest starring roles on various hit shows like Homeland, The Good Wife, and Law and Order.
On the other hand, this might be Becca’s first time on TV but she is no stranger to performing, having snagged a role in the original Broadway production of Rock of Ages. We can’t wait to see how these new additions will fit in with the remaining cast members. Who are you guys most excited to see this season!
