What do Miranda Cosgrove, Justin Bieber and Victoria Justice have in common? A whole bunch.

The big connection is Nickelodeon’s annual Upfront presentation.

Yeah, it’s definitely a business meeting of sorts for people to see what’s in store this year on the popular kids and teens channel, and everyone on that list had a little something to do with Upfront.  But Upfront had bigger news in store: the new season of Nick programming.

16 Nick favorites will be back again this year with new episodes including True Jackson, SpongeBob, Nick News, BrainSurge, The Troop, Dora the Explorer and The Fairly OddParents. Plus, 6 new series will hit Nick, including Bubble Guppies, House of Anubis, KungFu Panda and T.U.F.F. Puppies as well as some digital ads for Gigantic, Dino Dan and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Sound good?  Like what you see there?  We’re waiting to hear what you’ve got to say about the extensive new Nick lineup, so hit the comments section and patch us in!

Victorious hasn’t hit the screens yet, but they’re already talking crossover.

We’re talking about Victorious, the musical show all about a girl who discovers her talent for singing and gets to join the very prestigious Hollywood Arts high school.  This show stars one of our favorite fashionistas from Young Hollywood–Victoria Justice–and of course, iCarly zeroes in on Miranda Cosgrove as well as Jennette McCurdy and the awesome Nathan Kress.

Nickelodeon Hosting an Open Casting Call

23. January 2010

Victoria Justice Is Set To Star In Victorious For NickelodeonNickelodeon’s on the hunt for new talent for their roster of teen shows.  According to Just Jared Jr., they’re hosting a series of multi-city open casting calls for actors and actresses:

The search kicks off in Atlanta, Georgia TODAY, January 23. Boys and girls of all ethnicities, ages 12 – 18, can audition for a chance to appear on national television.

Other cities Nick is coming too: Austin (February 20) and Miami (February 27). Other cities will be announced soon!

Who’ll be the next Victoria Justice or Miranda Cosgrove?  I’d love to be a fly on the wall to watch what the audition process is like.  They should start an American Idol-type competition series — whoever wins gets their own show for a season.  That’d be pretty cool.

Victoria Justice Signs With Music Manager Larry Rudolph

23. November 2009

Victoria Justice Is Set To Star In Victorious For NickelodeonVictoria Justice, one of Clevver’s favorite new stars to watch, has signed with manager Larry Rudolph under his ReignDeer Entertainment shingle for music representation. Justice is the star of Nickelodeon’s newest comedy series, “Victorious.” “Victorious” is created by Dan Schneider, he is the guy who brought us shows like “Zoey 101,” “iCarly,” “Drake & Josh,” “The Amanda Show,” “What I Like About You,” “Kenan & Kel”, and “All That.”

“Victorious” follows Tori Vega (Justice) a teen who unexpectedly finds herself navigating life at an elite performing arts high school. Justice will not only get to showcase her comedy and acting skills, but she will be able to show off her vocal abilities, as the series will feature original music performed by Justice and the ensemble cast.

Larry Rudolph is known throughout the music industry and the world as the man, who helped shape and mold the career of one of the world’s biggest Iconic figures of this century, Britney Spears. In over a decade, Rudolph has yet to place his stamp of approval on another solo teen act until now. Rudolph and his Vice President, Adam Leber, have found in Justice all the star qualities that he recognized in Britney so many years ago.

Before arriving in Los Angles five years ago from Hollywood, Florida at age 11, Justice was one of top child/tween models in the business and landed coveted print campaigns for such brands as Guess, Ralph Lauren and Gap to name a few. She wasn’t in LA a mere ten months when she met with the executives at Nickelodeon’s then hit series “Zoey 101” and was instantly cast in a series regular role of Zoey’s roommate “Lola Martinez.”

When Zoey ended in 2007, Dan Schneider and the execs at Nickelodeon knew they had something special in Justice and immediately signed her to a deal. While waiting for “Victorious” to start production, Nick kept Justice busy with a bevy of guest-starring stints on their top rated shows such as, “True Jackson VP,” “The Troop,” “The Naked Brothers Band” and “iCarly. Justice’s “iCarly” episode, iFight Shelby Marks was a ratings bonanza for the already top rated show. In addition, Justice also co-starred in Nickelodeon’s made for TV original movie, “Spectacular!” in early 2009.

Victoria Justice might be a super star, but on the cover of next month’s “Girl’s Life” magazine, she’s proving that she’s down-to-earth and normal. We’ve got the scoop on the “Victorious” star up next.

Everyone is loving the new cover of Girl’s Life magazine. Victoria, who is always fashionable, looks great in her winter look on the front page, completed with a white beret.

Inside the mag, the 16 year old admits to always crushing on nerdy guys who wear glasses and play video games. And even though she says there’s someone special in her life right now—who by the way is actor Josh Hutcherson who just starred in “The Vampires Assisant,”—despite that fact, she still does have a big crush on funny-man actor Michael Cera.

Looking forward to Victorious?  Digging on Victoria Justice in general?  Hit the comments section and tell us all about it!
