Seven months after it came and went in theaters, Bandslam is finally out on DVD today.

The movie stars Vanessa Hudgens, Aly Michalka, and Gaelan Connell and is about a new kid in high school who assembles a band to compete in a battle of the bands competition.

It didn’t do well in theaters at all, but got great reviews all over the place — so if you didn’t catch it, here’s your chance.

ShoWest, an annual convention for movie theater owners, just kicked off in Las Vegas and saw the debuts of a bunch of posters for upcoming movies.  Collider was on hand to snap a picture of the new poster for Beastly, starring Vanessa Hudgens, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Alex Pettyfer — check it out:

Vanessa Hudgens didn’t attend the Oscars with her boyfriend Zac Efron — one of this year’s presenters — but she did meet up with him later in the evening to attend Vanity Fair’s official after-party.  Speaking to Access Hollywood on the party’s red carpet, she said of someday winning an Oscar:

One can only hope. The important thing is people doing what they are truly passionate about and putting their heart and soul into it. Once you have that, people acknowledge that and hopefully ends you up on that stage.

One of her upcoming roles, for the movie Sucker Punch, doesn’t sound like an Oscar role but she’s excited about it nonetheless:

It’s coming out next year and I’m really excited about it. Everyone is finally going to see me kick some butt.

One iCarly star’s fresh-faced looks just landed her a big time endorsement deal.

iCarly superstar Miranda Cosgrove was just named as Neutrogena’s newest face! This is huge news in the entertainment world, if you consider the fact that Miranda is in seriously amazing company. Other faces for Neutrogena, both present and past, include people like Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Diane Lane, and the list just goes on!

We still haven’t gotten a full-length trailer for Beastly yet, but this new three-minute behind-the-scenes look might be even better.  Starring Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Neil Patrick Harris, it’s a modern-day teen take on Beauty and the Beast.  Looks interesting to say the least!

Vanessa Hudgens just earned a top honor, being named the Female Star of Tomorrow. This award win, as determined by the ShoWest cinema owners, will officially be announced at the annual Las Vegas ceremony in March.

The 2010 choice is being linked to Vanessa’s popularity from the High School Musical series as well as her more recent roles in movies like Bandslam and Beastly. In fact, her Beastly co-star Alex Pettyfer reportedly got named as this year’s Male Star of Tomorrow, with a ShoWest rep saying they’re both outstanding young talents. Some other standouts to receive the Star of Tomorrow honor in years-past include Abigail Breslin, Jennifer Hudson, Shia LeBeouf and Chris Pine.

It’s summertime in Sydney, Australia – but that’s not the only reason Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are hanging out in the land down under.

It goes without saying that Australia is amazing at this time of year – just when we’re covered in rain and snow here in the states, is summertime in Sydney. But despite the lure of the amazing weather conditions, ZANESSA is visiting the Aussie city for another reason. The duo is in town to promote the Oakley into Summer Campaign.

We just got word that Disney is putting a whole lotta effort into creating a new teen comedy film, in hopes that its success mirrors its record-breaking High School Musical series. The non-musical movie is reportedly called Prom and will follow 9 lead roles throughout the high school storyline. And they’re looking for newbies, just like Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale were before High School Musical made them big.

Longtime couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens will take part in an upcoming “Help Haiti” benefit concert on February 4th in Los Angeles.

The concert’s being organized by George Lopez and will also feature stars like Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Kobe Bryant, and Andy Garcia.  All the proceeds will go directly to the victims of the Haiti earthquakes.  They’re taking donations at Care.org.
