Peter Facinelli Talks ‘Eclipse’ Training with Kellan Lutz

30. January 2010

carlisle-cullen-peter-facinelliKellan LutzA new blurb in New York Magazine features a quote from The Twilight Saga’s Peter Facinelli about the cast’s workout regimens for Eclipse.  It’s pretty funny — apparently after Taylor Lautner set the bar on New Moon, everybody started getting in on the action.

“I’m really excited about Eclipse — we did a lot of training for that movie, like six weeks of fight training,” he told us. “It was funny because it became almost like an in-house competition and everyone was always in the gym or working out. Sometimes we’d work out like three times a day. One time, I was in my apartment and I was going down to do my workout, and the elevator doors opened and Kellan Lutz was [in there] doing push-ups. I was like, ‘Okay, Kellan, you win! You win the competition!’”

Ashley Greene in Savvy Magazine

27. January 2010

ashley-greene-savvy-magazine-coverIt’s hard not to be jealous of just how well all the Twilight stars photograph.  Whenever Ashley Greene graces the cover of a magazine, she looks stunning.  Her newest is a magazine called Savvy, the upcoming issue of which will feature an interview with her as well as interviews with Jordin Sparks and The Vampire Diaries‘ Zach Roerig.

From the press release (via EclipseMovie):

In a ten-page fashion spread and interview, the actress discusses her independent film, Skateland, as it debuts at the Sundance Film Festival. She also shares a behind the scenes glimpse at filming The Twilight Saga movies and discusses her most recent endeavor, landing the lead in the new Warner Bros. thriller The Apparition. “To actually be the lead of a studio film and to have input on it is just really cool.” said Greene.

Sounds very cool.  If we find more quotes or pictures, we’ll be sure to post them.

Kristen Stewart Talks Renesmee, The Movie Version

26. January 2010

kristen-stewart-twilight-saga-new-moonBy now, when Twilight stars are asked about Breaking Dawn, we know what they’re going to say: we haven’t read the script, we’re not sure if it’ll be one movie or two, it’ll probably shoot in Vancouver.  So MTV took a different tactic in their recent discussion with Kristen Stewart and specifically asked how she imagines the movie will handle Bella’s eventual daughter, Renesmee:

In Stephenie Meyer’s novel, Renesmee’s birth is so graphic that Bella nearly dies but is ultimately converted into a vampire and saved by Edward. While the scene is currently unwritten as far as the “Breaking Dawn” script goes, Kristen is eager to learn how it will translate from book to film.

“I haven’t seen a script, but I’m not alone in really, really wondering how they’re going to handle that,” she said.

As important as the birth scene itself is the baby that is born. Will Renesmee be played by an actual baby or will she be given the CGI treatment? It’s a tricky question that Kristen doesn’t have an easy answer for, but one thing is certain — Renesmee has to be adorable.

“Little Renesmee, she’s got to be cute,” said the actress. “She can’t just be this scary superhuman teeth baby!”

Kristen Stewart’s Haiti Fund

26. January 2010

Kristen StewartEven though Kristen Stewart couldn’t participate in the Hope for Haiti Now telethon last Friday like her boyfriend Robert Pattinson, she managed to help out in her own way.  From E! Online:

At the premiere for Welcome to the Rileys, the film’s producers, Giovanni Agnelli and Scott Bloom, filled us in on Kristen’s idea of how to help raise money for Haiti.

K.Stew & Co. raised cash by hosting four lucky ladies in Park City. The fortunate four paid handsomely for the privilege of a free plane ticket, a place to stay and the pleasure of Kristen’s company.

“They paid, like, a thousand dollars a piece for tickets which went to support the cause for Haiti,” says Agnelli.

Great idea!

Kristen Stewart Talks Filming ‘Eclipse’ with David Slade

25. January 2010

Kristen StewartEven though Kristen Stewart’s busy promoting two non-Twilight movies at the Sundance Film Festival right now — The Runaways and Welcome to the Rileys — inevitably, she’s going to get asked a lot of questions about Twilight.  That’s fine with us, especially when she offers some details about what filming Eclipse was like:

[David Slade]’s a very technical director. Very. Very. He’s very thoughtful. I think it’s going to be cool for ‘Twilight,’ like, shotwise. He’s very conceptual. He really, really takes a lot of time to — you’re not going to see, like, a bunch of Steadicam. It’s very deliberate, which is very cool. It gives you more time to think about what you’re doing. I don’t know [the tone] because I haven’t seen the movie.

Demand for Eclipse Trailer Grows

24. January 2010

twilight-saga-eclipse-logoNope, there’s still no teaser trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, but might the clamoring from fans result in its release sooner than scheduled?

Eclipse director David Slade has been asked so much about it that he had to explain on his Twitter account — a couple of different times over the past month or so — that he’s not the one who makes it or decides when it gets released.  And now the official Twilight Twitter account has had to speak out about it too:

We hear and love all our fans out there. You’ll be the first to know as soon as a trailer is ready for Eclipse.

Sure, you could take that to mean they’re just telling fans to relax and be patient.  But for them to mention it at all also means they hear everybody loud and clear.  It can’t be that hard to cut together a thirty-second montage and slap the title on at the end, can it?

I bet we’ll be getting something very soon.  And when it comes, it’ll be huge — after all, our copy of the first New Moon trailer on YouTube has logged almost thirty million views to date.

Kristen Stewart Downplays Stripper Role

24. January 2010

welcome-to-the-rileys-kristen-stewart-3Kristen Stewart may be playing a stripper in her upcoming movie Welcome to the Rileys, which debuts at the Sundance Film Festival this week, but she insisted to MTV News yesterday that it wasn’t a big deal.

“It’s not shocking,” she said.  “It’s not a stripper movie at all.  You never see me stripping.”

But still, the movie — a very low-budget drama in which she so-stars with former Sopranos actor James Gandolfini — wouldn’t really be up Twilight fans’ alley, would it?

“I think this is a really good story for them,” she continued.  “It sort of opens your eyes to people who don’t have, like, any options.”
