According to Vulture, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are all getting $25 million apiece to star in the two Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn movies.  At least.

Their deal is for $12.5 million for each movie plus $7.5 percent of profits, which could land them a lot more.  I’m not sure about Taylor, but Kristen and Rob were both paid a reported $12 million for New Moon and Eclipse and only $2 million for Twilight.  That’s a pretty nice raise.

Robert Pattinson talked to GMTV recently about his fame, his fans, and his favorite Twilight movie, both to work on (the first, because it was new and exciting) and to watch (the second, because it was his favorite book and was “depressing”).  When asked what tips he’s taken from Edward to make girls fall in love with him, he has a surprisingly good answer: “Stay quiet most of the time.  It kind of works if you want to be a attractive.”  Check it out:

Since The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and The Last Airbender opened on the same weekend, Jackson Rathbone has been pulling double-duty, promoting both movies whenever he walks into an interview or talk show.  Here he is on Today.  In three minutes, he talks about both movies and even gets in a plug for his band 100 Monkeys!

For the full six-day opening period from Tuesday at midnight through Monday, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse made an estimated $175 million.

That didn’t beat, but is essentially on par with, New Moon’s $179 million over Thanksgiving weekend, and Spider-Man 2’s all-time July 4th record of $180 million.

Outside the U.S., the movie has already made $100 million, meaning that in total, Eclipse has already made well over a quarter billion dollars.  Crazy.

Twilight series screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg spoke to E! Online recently and reassured fans that Breaking Dawn can still be awesome with a PG-13, and not an R, rating.

“It will be sexier,” Melissa recently told us, noting she’s aware of fans’ petitions to make the two flicks R-rated thanks to a certain feathers flying Edward and Bella sex scene.

“I think we can get awfully sexy with a PG-13,” Rosenberg said nodding her head. “I’m not worried about the rating. I know a lot of fans are like, ‘We have to go R to do it justice,’ but I don’t think so. I think it’s going to be pretty hot. Way hot!”

Kristen Stewart appeared last week on Live with Regis and Kelly, in which she talks a lot about her cat, Max, whom she often shares a bed with.  Talking about Eclipse, on the other hand, she explained how Bella’s kiss with Jacob actually strengthens her relationship with Edward, in the sense that it makes her realize that she could have someone else, but chooses not to.  It’s an interesting discussion:

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse made another $23.9 million on Saturday.  According to Deadline, it will make $69 million for the three-day weekend, and an insane $161 million since its opening.

If it makes $20 million on Monday, which many people will have off for the Fourth of July holiday, it’ll beat Spider-Man 2’s six-day July 4th record of $180 million.  But even if it doesn’t, it’s a pretty stunning accomplishment — New Moon made $296 million in its entire run, which Eclipse is now bound to surpass.

Ashley Greene was interviewed by Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, in which she talks about the difference between how the fans treat her as opposed to her male co-stars.  “When they come up to me, it’s very very sweet, like, ‘oh my God I love you’ … with the guys, they want their underwear.”
