Muse talks about appearing on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack and movie fans probably won’t like what they hear. Bassist Chris Wolstenholme told the BBC’s Newsbeat that he doesn’t know how cool it is to be on an album like they were, but they needed to get the music out there in different ways.  So maybe that wasn’t so bad, but then he went on to say that it’s super difficult to get plays in America and “sometimes you have to sell your soul.”

In a new interview, Stephenie Meyer says the reason The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn wasn’t put into production immediately after Eclipse was because she originally wasn’t sure it should be a movie at all:

‘Breaking Dawn’ is tricky. It’s real tricky.  Now, I feel like we have more of a handle on it. Because the script [is good] and [we have] Bill Condon. I am more calm, but originally, I was very much on the fence. Maybe we shouldn’t make this into a movie, ya know. Some things can’t be made into a movie and come across exactly the right way. So it was a big struggle for me to go forward.

I’m glad they figured it out in time…after all, sooner or later, Robert Pattinson isn’t going to be able to pass for a seventeen-year-old!

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse may be heading into its third weekend, but a few of its stars are still out there promoting the film every day.  Kellan Lutz went on Lopez Tonight last night to, among other things, his relatively small head:

The Twilight Saga is such a phenomenon now that even the movie tie-in books are becoming runaway bestsellers: the Eclipse Official Illustrated Movie Companion just popped up in 11th place on USA Today’s Bestseller List.

It’s listed for $18.99, but according to the Twilight Examiner you can find it for around ten bucks.

Is Joe Jonas coupling up with a vampire? Joe and Twilight Saga hottie Ashley Greene were spied chatting it up at the London premiere of Eclipse, which reportedly was just the beginning of a hang-out fest that included a Kings of Leon concert and dinner together at The Ivy.  Are they just friends or could this be something more?

The newest Twilight Saga film was eclipsed by a cartoon flick!  Would you believe that the film to finally push The Twilight Saga: Eclipse from the top spot is an animated feature?  Despicable Me, which stars the voices of Steve Carell, Russel Brand and Miranda Cosgrove, took the top spot at this weekend’s box office.  But don’t get too teary eyed just yet. Although Eclipse dropped to second place, it still managed to pull in $33.4 million, pushing it to first place in a different category.

Do vampires suck? That’s the question being asked in the upcoming movie Vampires Suck from the team behind previous spoof films Disaster Movie, Date Movie and Scary Movie.  The film promises to poke fun at The Twilight Saga franchise as well as other recent pop culture phenoms like Alice In Wonderland, Lady Gaga and The Jersey Shore.

Today we’re bringing you up-to-speed on the production of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.  It may be the last movie in the franchise, but at least you get two films out of it to make it last that oh so much longer.  We’ve got the latest info on release dates, filming locations and more.

Summit Entertainment distribution head Ritchie Fay talked to MTV about possible release dates for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2, and was surprisingly candid.  Basically, they’re not sure yet, but have a few possibilities.  (Part 1 comes out November 18th, 2011.)

“We’ve targeted a number of dates, and we have yet to determine when it will happen,” Fay said. “We haven’t even determined that it will be the summer. It’s still the source of discussions. We might have a preference when we see where ‘Eclipse’ ends up,” he said of whether it’ll be released in summer or winter of 2012. “It certainly might color our thinking, but we’re comfortable with either place. Right now, it’s a bit early in that stage of planning.”

In other words, if Eclipse makes more than New Moon (which it probably will), expect it to come out Summer 2012.  But it’s always possible it could be released even earlier…
