The Twilight Saga: New Moon will officially come out on DVD and Blu-Ray on March 20th, according to the Twilight Twitter account.  Can’t come soon enough!

It’ll come as a 2-disc special edition DVD or a special edition Blu-Ray.

According to Amazon, special features will include a commentary track with director Chris Weitz, a six-part behind-the-scenes documentary, and a bunch of music videos from bands on the soundtrack.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are the most obvious choices when it comes to having the biggest potential when it comes to post-Twilight career moves. But what about the girl who plays Bella’s human pal in the films. Yes, we’re talking about Anna Kendrick. Up until recently, that’s pretty much how she was known-as Bella’s mortal amiga in Twilight-But these days she’s proving herself as an actress who can stand her ground with veteran superstars like George Clooney.

Twilight saga star Kellan Lutz and Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley are set to appear side-by-side in the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.

The pictures of the guys together are all part of the mags Fun Fearless Edition.

Judging from the video taken at the shoot, Kellan and Paul seemed to get along really well-no fangs were coming out. But even if he wanted to bust out with some fangs, Kellan admits that he couldn’t. Unlike Wesley’s character Stephan, Kellan’s character and all the other vampires in Twilight don’t have fangs. Kellan is now admitting that even after reading Stephanie Meyer’s books, he still didn’t realize that they would have fangs until he was sitting in the hair and makeup chair on-set.

So in a few months, Nu Image/Millenium Films is planning on filming a reboot of the action/fantasy classic Conan the Barbarian, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.  Why should we care?  Because buried in a Deadline article was the bombshell that The Twilight Saga’s Kellan Lutz is one of three finalists for the lead role.

Our own Emmett Cullen stepping into a role that Schwarzenegger played?  Those are pretty big shoes to fill (literally).  But Kellan is pretty beefed up, too; he certainly has the muscles to handle the part.

Unfortunately, he also has competition.  TV actor Jason Momoa, along with a mysterious “better established actor” who’s not named, are both also being considered.

Even if the movie isn’t up your alley, Kellan getting cast could mean big things for his career.  We’re rooting for you, dude.

An extensive interview with Ashley Greene, a.k.a. The Twilight Saga’s Alice Cullen, will appear in the upcoming issue of Interview magazine.  Her interviewer?  Her very own co-star Michael Sheen, a.k.a. Aro.  To the right is from her new photo shoot for the magazine, and here’s a peek at the article:

MICHAEL SHEEN: Okay. This is my first question. This is the only really serious one, and then the rest are quite funny. The first one is: As an elf, raised by humans, have you found a lot of discrimination against the fairy folk here in Hollywood?

ASHLEY GREENE: Well, I think they’re just jealous that I sparkle and speak elfin and have cute little pointy ears.

SHEEN: It’s true.

GREENE: So, yes, there’s discrimination. But I really don’t care.

And on a more serious note:

SHEEN: Do you feel pressure every time you go out because you know that there’s a high chance that someone’s going to take a picture of you walking down the street? Do you feel a pressure to not dress in jean shorts and flip-flops?

GREENE: There was a moment in time where I was kind of having this mini-breakdown because it was all very new, and it was all being thrown at me really quickly, and I was going, “Why are people reporting on this? Why do people care what I’m wearing or what I’m eating, and why are people looking down on me because I’m not wearing high heels?” That’s the downside to being in the public eye. When girls come up and say, “You’re my role model,” it’s really flattering, but it’s also really scary because I’m not perfect and I’m going to make mistakes. I’ve just decided that I have to continue to live my life and do what I do. Hopefully, people love me because of who I am, not who I pretend to be.

Paramore wasn’t on the Twilight sequel soundtrack, but why?

Well, the band’s lead singer, Hayley Williams, explained it all while on the carpet for the People’s Choice Awards. She stated that even though they got an early offer to have Paramore’s music included in the New Moon film, the group turned it down because it didn’t want to force anything and would always want a musical-movie matchup to be genuine.

Kristen Stewart was nominated for the Orange Rising Star Award, an annual award presented by the British Film Academy, for her role in The Twilight Saga.

Also nominated were Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland), Nicolas Hoult (A Single Man), Tahar Rahim (the French movie A Prophet) and Carey Mulligan (An Education and Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend).

Voting is open to the public, but unfortunately, you have to be a resident of the United Kingdom to vote!  Lame.

Past winners include Shia LaBeouf, Eva Green, and James McAvoy.

Stephenie Meyer has posted a response to some of the rumors about Breaking Dawn on her website:

Just a quick note on the subject of the Breaking Dawn film: there is no drama over whether the book should be one movie or two. My personal feeling is that it would be very difficult to cram the whole story into one movie (as I’ve said in many interviews previous to this), but if a great way of doing that surfaces, I’m all for it. Two or one, whichever way fits the story best is fine by me, and everyone I’ve spoken with at Summit seems to feel the same way. We’re all excited to move forward on this, and we are slowly and surely getting there. I know people are anxious for news, and so sometimes gossip gets fabricated to stir things up, but there’s no basis to this particular story.

Anxious is right!    Good to hear that everybody’s on the same page; now let’s get things going before all the vampires start looking older…

Twilight ran a cool contest last month through its Twitter account in which the winner would receive a personal phone call from New Moon director Chris Weitz.  Well, it happened, and the girl who won recently blogged about the experience on her LiveJournal.  She basically conducted an interview with Weitz, and here were some of the Q and As:

I know Edward’s car is now a dark silver, but was there any reason for the change?

Availability. Volvo wanted to introduce a new car into the series, instead of the older model. So they provided a newer model, brown Volvo. Immediately we knew it had to be repainted, and chose a dark, non-shiny, black colour. It added more to the first Edward scene in the movie, the feeling is upbeat but the colour of the vehicle adds to the danger lurking.

How did you decide to shoot the scene where the months are passing by, considering the books only name the months that pass?

We originally thought we could use a blank screen with names of the months passing but felt that it was best to portray depression visually. CGI was used and the windows were covered by green screen. We used a robotic camera for revolvement to mimic the original hand camera as much as possible. I’m not sure if you noticed but with each revolvement the room changes, there are less pictures of her friends and the room gets more sparse.
