Congrats to Bella Thorne! Her interstitial for Disney Channel’s “The Time I…” series has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy.
In the video, Bella talks about having dyslexia. She says, “I am so pleased “The Time I…(Dyslexia)” has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award . What makes it special is that it is about something that is so important to me and such a huge part of my life-dyslexia. I hope that it shows and inspires others with disabilities to pursue their dreams and know that they can accomplish anything they set their mind to do. Of course, I am so thankful to Disney for giving me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and to share my struggle with all the young people that dyslexia affects.”

This sounds like a really good idea. Writing isn’t my boys’ favorite thing right now either, and my older son (9) has a learning disability. Dictate and copy is the norm here too. He is improving though, and this might get him interested enough to come up with things on his own. Thanks for sharing!
