If you ever dared think that Justin Bieber was just a pretty face with a great voice, here’s proof that he’s pretty smart — the dude solved a Rubik’s Cube on a Spanish talk show recently in under a minute and a half. Check it out below. The best part is afterward, when he gives the Cube to a girl in the audience and you can see her friend trying to wrest it away from her.

AJ Michalka is Headed to ‘Hellcats’!

AJ Michalka will soon join her sister Aly on the CW’s new hit show Hellcats.

According to Zap2it, AJ has signed on for a recurring role as a record store clerk — with, as far as we know, no relation to Aly’s character Marti.

That doesn’t mean that they won’t share the screen, though; in fact, the CW says that “a musical performance with the two is very likely.” Sweet!

Christian Serratos: New ABC Family Star

The Twilight Saga‘s Christian Serratos has landed a lead role in a new ABC Family TV pilot from The Secret Life of the American Teenager creator Brenda Hampton, about “four ethnically diverse teen girls attending a private school in California.”

The other girls will be played by Katelyn Tarver, Valerie Tian, and Ana Lucasey.

The pilot shoots soon and, if all goes well, could turn into a series as early as mid-next year.

Brittany Robertson on Life Unexpected’s Remaining Episodes

While Life Unexpected star Brittany Robertson is still holding out hope that the CW will renew the show despite its likely cancellation, she told JSYK that the season will wrap up in satisfying fashion for the fans:

“The last episode wraps up the season in a really, really great way…All of the relationships sort of tie together in the last episode in hopes for a season three of course, but it wraps up season two pretty well.”

The majority of LUX die-hards are rooting for Cate and Baze to end up together. Britt isn’t revealing that spoiler, but did say, “I think their relationship will be where it should be, and think that the fans will be really happy with the choices the writers have made between the two of them.”

Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins: Yes or No?

Rumors have been swirling since their lunch date last week that Taylor Lautner and his abduction co-star Lily Collins are dating, and E! claims it’s all true:

The Twilight stud is supposedly seeing Lily Collins, who coincidentally happens to be his Abduction costar.

Reports have been circulating about the convenient timing of Lautner and Lily’s public lunch debut Wednesday. … Lily and Taylor’s flick doesn’t hit theaters until next year, so we’re sure those two won’t split up before then.

Since the only evidence seems to be one little lunch, what do you guys think? Would they make a good couple?

The first trailer for Red Riding Hood debuted today, Catherine Hardwicke’s new take on the Little Red Riding Hood story. It stars Amanda Seyfried and Shiloh Fernandez — who was Hardwicke’s top choice to play Edward Cullen in Twilight until Robert Pattinson showed up for an audition. Check it out:

Disney Goes for New Musical Series Madison High

Disney might be getting its own Glee. Madison High, a potential upcoming series for the Disney Channel, will follow a group of 11-16-year-olds — younger than the Glee crowd — involved in a new theater program at the fictional titular high school.

The show is being written by Lester Lewis of the recently-canceled Jonas L.A. and will begin casting its pilot episode soon.

Emma Stone Reteams with Easy A Director

Easy A was one of the funniest teen comedies to come out in a while, so it’s cool to hear that star Emma Stone will be reuniting with the director of that film, Will Gluck, on a new movie.

Nothing is known about the plot, but it will actually be the third movie they’ll do together. The second, Friends with Benefits, also stars Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis and comes out next summer.

Sonny With a Chance May Continue Without Demi (for Now)

According to Entertainment Weekly, Demi Lovato’s current treatment may not get in the way of her show Sonny with a Chance, which will resume shooting without her if it needs to:

The producers will focus on the show-within-a-show, the comedy/sketch/music-variety “So Random!” It will feature guest stars, comedy sketches, musical performances and digital shorts. The fix will allow the show to resume shooting in January even if Lovato, 18, isn’t available. “This allows her the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure,” a Disney Channel spokeswoman said.

It’s nice to see the Disney Channel being so supportive. Still no comment from any of the Jonas boys, though.

More Harry Potter Books, Just Not About Harry Potter?

At the big premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 on Thursday night, J.K. Rowling revealed that if she does write another Harry Potter book, it wouldn’t actually be about Harry. She said:

“If in ten years’ time I wanted to do another one I probably would. However, I said to Dan [Radcliffe] I don’t think there will ever be another book with Harry as the central character. So Dan can sleep easy.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that Harry wouldn’t appear. But how about giving Neville his own book?

Ashley Tisdale on Returning to Sharpay

Hellcats‘ Ashley Tisdale spoke with JustJaredJr. recently about why she chose to return to the character that made her famous — Sharpay Evans of the High School Musical movies — in the upcoming DCOM Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure:

The reason why I wanted to do the movie was because I felt that High School Musical 3 was…there really wasn’t a complete end with my character. She was kinda left behind at the school because she was supposed to be an assistant to Mrs. Darbus and I just felt like she needed to get something…it was something that would be really fun for the fans to watch and see again. I just felt like this is a character and a franchise that is really close to my heart so I’m excited to be back and playing her.
